Suomessa äitienpäivää vietetään jälleen sunnuntaina 14. toukokuuta. Äitienpäivä on jokavuotinen ja ehdottomasti yksi tärkeimmistä juhlapäivistä, jolloin on hyvä hetki pysähtyä ja muistaa kaikkia upeita äitejä heidän tärkeästä roolista ja työstä, jonka eteen he kuluttavat vuosittain valtavan määrän aikaa. Lähdimme selvittämään ja tiedustelemaan äideiltä ympäri Suomea, että mitä naiset oikeasti haluavat äitienpäivälahjaksi ja että kuuluvatko elämykselliset lahjat äitienpäivään.
Keräsimme tähän suosituimpia asioita jotka nousivat selkeästi pinnalle: Eri tyyppiset hieronnat. Hyvää ruokaa mukavassa paikassa. Koru tai jokin muu päälläpidettävä lahja. Aikaa perheen kanssa. Autokyyditys hienolla autolla. Kukkia ja kortti. Omaa aikaa ja hemmottelua. Lahjakortti käsi/jalkahoitoon. Aamiainen vuoteeseen. Mukavaa illanviettoa. Kylpylään. Kahdenkeskistä aikaa. Kodin siivous.
Niin tai näin – äitejä on monia ja tärkeintä on että heitä muistetaan. Tuorean selvityksen mukaan hyvin monet äidit arvostavat paljon aikaa yhdessä perheen ja puolison kanssa erinäisissä ympäristöissä.
